About Honey Gables Community

Honey Gables is a small enclave of fifty-five homes firmly rooted in the midst of a rural woodland setting. Our community is bounded by the beautiful Rideau River on the west, and on the east, by River Road, the community of Riverside South and a string of three, well landscaped stormwater management ponds that, in addition to their intended function, serve as a wonderful bird sanctuary. To the north and downstream along the Rideau lies Gloucester Glen and, to the south, the charming village of Manotick.

The land that Honey Gables occupies had remained an active farmstead for more than a hundred years until its subdivision in the late 1950s. Today, each home has its own unique stand-alone design reflecting the vision and taste of its original and subsequent owners, all of whom chose Honey Gables to enjoy its private rural landscape and the tranquility of the Rideau River, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

A twenty minutes drive from downtown, ten minutes from both McDonald-Cartier Airport and Fallowfield VIA Rail Station, and barely two minutes from an OC Transport Park and Ride, Honey Gables enjoys convenient access to shopping, schools, hospitals and more – virtually everything that Ottawa and the National Capital Region have to offer. Honey Gables is your hidden gem within the city limits!
